Lullaby for Cooper Michael

Dedicated to Cooper Michael, born on March 8, 2011, and to his wonderful parents,
Bryan & Tiffany...I'm so happy for your precious gift.
"Lullaby"
They didn't have you where I come from
Never knew the best was yet to come
Life began when I saw your face
And I hear your laugh like a serenade
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough
Cause I'm never, never giving you up
As you wander through this troubled world
In search of all things beautiful
You can close your eyes when you're miles away
And hear my voice like a serenade
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough
Cause I'm never, never giving you up
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough, is forever enough
How long do you want to be loved
Is forever enough
Cause I'm never, never giving you up
Is forever enough
Cause I'm never, never giving you up

Dream Get Away

Maybe it's the rain & wind today but I have been day dreaming of
packing a little bag, with a sun-dress, sandals, and swimsuit in it
and to simply go here:)
I haven't been to a tropical location for a long time, but I still remember the feel
of the sand under my feet, the smell of the water, and ending the day
watching as the sun slipped away.
I feel like sighing right now....ahhh.

A Woman

Woman is a miracle of divine contradictions.

Jules Michelet

The angel of the Family is Woman. Mother, wife, or sister, Woman is the caress of life, the soothing sweetness of affection shed over its toils, a reflection for the individual of the loving providence which watches over Humanity. In her there is treasure enough of consoling tenderness to allay every pain. Moreover for every one of us she is the initiator of the future. The mother's first kiss teaches the child love; the first holy kiss of the woman he loves teaches man hope and faith in life; and love and faith create a desire for perfection and the power of reaching towards it step by step; create the future, in short, of which the living symbol is the child, link between us and the generations to come.
Giuseppe Mazzini
Be to her virtues very kind,
Be to her faults a little blind.

Matthew Prior

Eve was not taken out of Adam's head to top him, neither out of his feet to be trampled on by him, but out of his side to be equal with him, under his arm to be protected by him, and near his heart to be loved by him.

A little story...Pixar

On Saturday evening I had the television on with the two ladies
I take care of and we found Pixar Short Films were playing...they were so adorable!
"Pixar Animation Studios is an American animation film studio based in California.
The studio has earned twenty-six Academy Awards, seven Golden Globes, and three Grammys"
They have created the films:
Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille,
and my personal favorite, Up.
If you want something sweet, funny and adorable, to watch,
Pixar Short Film Collection will be almost perfect:)

Hello World-Lady Antebellum

Traffic cars, cell phone calls, top video screams at me
Through my tender window I see a little girl, rust red minivan
She's got chocolate on her face, got little hands
And she waves at me, yeah, she smiles at me
Well, hello world, how've you been?
Good to see you, my old friend
Sometimes I feel cold as steel
Broken like I'm never gonna heal
I see a light, little hole in the little girl
Well, hello world
Every day I drive by a little white church
It's got these little white crosses like angels in the yard
Maybe I should stop on in and say a prayer
Maybe talk to God like he is there
Oh, I know He's there, yeah, I know He's there
Well, hello world, how've you been?
Good to see you, my old friend
Sometimes I feel as cold as steel
And broken like I'm never gonna heal
I see a light, little grace, little faith unfurl
Well, hello world
Sometimes I forget what living's for
And I hear my life through my front door
And I'll be there, oh, I'm home again
I see my wife, little boy, little girl
Hello world, hello world
Oh, the empty disappears
I remember why I'm here
To surrender and believe
I fall down on my knees
Oh hello world, hello world, hello world

Diet Coke-Stay Extraordinary

I am sitting at home with my friend watching the 83rd Academy Awards,
and as beautiful as the dresses are, it is a Diet Coke Commercial
that has stolen my attention:)

Manuela's Bindery

My beautiful sister-in-law Manuela recently opened up a shop on Etsy.
She has a collection of beautifully hand-crafted journals, photo albums,
sketch books, recipe books and, one of my personal favorites,
a felt baby book!
I remember her telling me the process it takes to hand-make a book and it
made me appreciate holding a book and looking at its binding and cover more.
You can find her shop at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Manuelasbindery
Enjoy!

Music from The Village

On Sunday evening I re-watched M. Night Shyamalan's movie The Village.
I loved this movie the first time I saw it. There are many different things that
draw me back and this time it was the music.
It is hauntingly beautiful.
The soundtrack features Hillary Hahn as the  violin soloist,
who makes certain scenes truly come alive.

The Ones We Love

It's been a long time since I wrote last and I've missed sharing with you.
I know Valentines Day has come and gone, but
as I am still nibbling on milk chocolate hearts a
week later I cannot help but think of the ones I love.
Who do you love? Is it a husband, wife, sister,
brother, best friend, boyfriend, fiancĂ©?
Take the time today, to say "I love you"
