A "New Girl" Makes Me Laugh

Who would have thought when I watched the pilot episode of New Girl, starring Zooey Deschanel, that I would find its quirkiness so funny? I have found myself laughing so hard that I confess, I've snorted (while also cringing at its VERY awkward moments). I find it  to be funny
and a little bit endearing.
About The Show
After a bad break-up, Jess Day needs a new place to live. An online search leads her to a great loft...and three single guys she's never met before. But Jess moves in, and through her upbeat personality, unique sense of self and the unlikely support of her new roommates, she learns to move on.

The Killing

I have to confess that I am inexplicably drawn to mysteries and crime stories.
Two weeks ago, AMC began a new series titled "The Killing".
What drew me into this new series was the heartache of the victim's
family being portrayed so deeply, the burden of the responsibility of
having to solve another murder, you could see on the homicide detective's
face, and the rain pouring down on the Seattle skyline that simply added to
the mystery and sadness.
Set in SeattleWashington, the series follows the police
investigation, the grieving family and the suspects, after
the homicide of a young girl, Rosie Larsen. Each of the
13 episodes will chronicle one day of the investigation.
The series as "slow-burn storytelling in a sense that every
moment that we don't have to prettify or gloss over or
make something necessarily easy to digest, that we're able
to go to all sorts of places that are honest, and dark, and
beautiful and tragic, in a way that is how
a story should be told."

Flashpoint (T.V. Series)

Each time I get finished watching an episode of Flashpoint,
I look forward to the next one to begin. Not only do I have one
person to cheer for, but a whole group.
They really are the good guys on this show.

Plot
"Flashpoint is about an elite tactical unit, called the
Strategic Response Unit (SRU),
within a Canadian metropolitan police force
The SRU are tasked to resolve extreme situations that
regular officers are not trained to handle
including hostage-taking,
bomb threats and heavily armed criminals
Members use negotiation tactics and intuition to try to avoid the use of force."

Color & Whimsy found on the screen

A friend just loaned me season #1 of a show called Pushing Daisies. The first episode I saw and it completely captured my attention. When my friend was describing this show, she had the best words for it "whimsical", "colorful" and "quaint". I have found that to be true; the show thus far is delightful and it makes me eager to turn push the button and see what might happen with these characters.
